Council of Young Scientists

At the moment, the Council of Young Scientists of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Orel State University named after I.S.Turgenev" is a collegial advisory body that promotes the professional growth of novice researchers and young scientists, created to protect their rights and interests in the field of scientific and professional activities.

A young scientist is an employee with an academic degree of candidate or doctor of science under the age of 35 and 40 years, respectively, as well as a graduate student or university student engaged in fundamental and applied research in various fields of science.

The Council of Young Scientists is formed from representatives of young scientists of the university (up to two representatives from each institute or faculty). Membership in the Council is carried out on the proposal of the director of the institute or the dean of the faculty with the written consent of the specified person - a young scientist.

The main goals of the Council of Young Scientists are:

- increasing creative activity in the research activities of young university scientists;

- assistance to young university scientists in professional and career growth;

- realization of the scientific potential of young university scientists;

- assistance in fulfilling the tasks facing the flagship university.
