The Centre for culture and aesthetic education is a place which attracts the talented youth of our university; it helps every student to unlock its creativity and personality. The Centre for culture and aesthetic education works for every student to be aesthetically educated. The activity of the Centre is aimed at acculturation and the rise of creative initiative of students; it is looking for new forms of activities by experiencing different branches and genres of art. The Centre carries out artistic creativity festivals, concerts, discos, “Evening with” events, performances of amateur and professional artists.

«Basic skills of choreographic training at sports dance»

In class, students study Modern European and Latin American dances. The European programme includes: valeta, tango, Viennese waltz, foxtrot and quickstep; the Latin American programme includes: cha-cha-cha, samba, rumba, jive, paso doble; also salsa, bachata, etc. Many our graduates work as coaches for dance sport both in our city and country and other countries, such as Israel, the USA, etc.

The training is conducted at different dance directions, but the top-priority ones are modern and stage choreography. The studies are carried out in 2 groups: for beginners and experienced students. The target of this extended educational, general enrichment programme is to master dancing skills, to develop creative skills and to unlock thepersonal potential of students.

The training of choreography on different music genres: stage dance, stylised dance, folk dance. During mastering a programme, students learn choreographic skills and prepare dance concert items by themselves. They also participate in city and regional festivals and competitions.

At the heart of the activities is an idea to revivify and preserve Russian traditional culture and cultural traditions of the Orel region; to master skills of folk and stage singing; to form a right musical and artistic feeling, an aesthetic sensitivity and love of the country.
The study of folk traditions and ritual songs of Orel and other regions. We have in the repertoire more than 200 Russian folk and Cossack songs of Russian and local songwriters.

Academic vocal, solo singing and ensemble singing form a small part of the skills, the students may receive during their study. Lectures and practical sessions on the study of the family history, doing researches at the archives, praxis in attribution, conservation and retaining of documents and articles from the family archive.

The training is carried out in the framework of a theatre school “Kalambur” (“Pun”), which performs for students, teachers and guests, presents their plays at schools, residential institutions, orphan asylums, prison colonies and rest houses.
The students master the acting technique, screenwriting, scientists' work, design and sew costumes, put on make-up, learn choreography, write lyrics, show acrobatic etudes, juggle and even fence.

The training of the acting technique, the choice of repertoire, stage direction, an interpretation of fiction works for the stage production. Thanks to the cooperation with the Turgenev museum, a unique project “The revival of Turgenev’s country estate theatre” is implemented and comedies of Shakhovsky, Svechin, Knyazhnin, La Ribardier can be revitalised and plays of Fonvizin and Krylov are newly interpreted.

The aim of the programme: the development of ability for music through playing and singing. In the process of training, students adopt skills of writing and correction of lyrics. They improve the material with the teacher and produce arrangements. A lot of attention is paid to a constant mastering of fingering by profession (guitar, percussion instruments, keyboard instruments, vocal).

The aim of the programme is to teach students skills and methods of creation of the fine art photography. Everyone can find something interesting to himself. The basis of composition, operations with the light, angles, exposure; staged and object photography, portrait photography and various topics, real-world examples, pieces of advice and lessons both for beginners and experts, who want to perfect their knowledge.

This course is for students to become familiar with main principles of artistic and comfort displays of video records. While using the skills, which students learn in the lessons, they can correctly create pieces and clips, taking into account aesthetic and art perception.
In the process of training there are considered such questions as video filming, development of the composition, methods of a visual communication (picture setup, audio mixing), planning of the action development, preparation and sound on a film recording and commentary, video-tape editing, skills of shared management of the project, including interviewing and project planning, recension and reprocessing.
