Migration registration

All foreign citizens who arrive in the Russian Federation for study are required to comply with the laws of the Russian Federation. Upon arrival in the Russian Federation, a foreign citizen is required to register with the migration service within 7 working days (It should be noted that the period of permission may vary depending on the country).

To register, foreign citizens and stateless persons who have entered the Russian Federation for study are required to contact the passport and visa control and support sector no later than 3 working days from the date of arrival to notify the territorial migration registration authority of their arrival.

To register at the dormitory address, you must submit the following documents for migration registration:

- Original and copy of an identity document (passport or other identity document in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation)
- Original and copy of the migration card;
- Original and copy of the fingerprint card;
- Original and copy of the contract for the provision of paid educational services (certificate of study issued by the faculty/institute);
- Tear-off form of notification of registration for migration purposes (if any)

The result of registration for migration purposes is that the foreign student receives a tear-off part of the notification form of the arrival of a foreign citizen at the place of stay (registration).

In case of unauthorized departure from the place of temporary stay (hostel), long-term absence from the place of temporary stay (hostel), the foreign student will be removed from the migration register.

In case of temporary departures from Orel to another region of Russia for a period of more than 7 working days, the foreign citizen is obliged to register for migration purposes at the new place of temporary stay/residence.

In case of staying in a hotel/hospital (even for 1 (one) calendar day), the foreign citizen will be registered for migration purposes by the administration of the organization.

After returning to Orel from abroad or another city, a foreign citizen must reapply to SPVKIS within 3 days and register for migration purposes, providing all the necessary documents.

If you are living in rented accommodation during your studies, you must register for migration purposes at the address of that accommodation. And within 3 days of receiving the tear-off notification form of registration for migration purposes, provide a copy to SPVKIS.
